Sketchpad 2

Today’s project is a super dooper simple template designed to focus on photo placement.    As you can see the template allows for two photos, title and journaling.    If you find templates restrictive then these simpler versions are a great place to start.     They are a blank canvas that you can dress up as much as you like.

In this first example I used the basic design of the template.    I switched out the circle mat for a doodle frame and added some embellishments along the bottom.

The second layout…I turned the template counter-clockwise 90 degrees and then flipped it.      Just make sure that if you decide to flip, rotate, alter your template that you are doing it with your working version and not the original.    Not fun when you stuff that one up lol!

The sketch is great, and I’m looking forward to getting the template this week! I already have some ideas of what I could do with that template! I love to take a template and change it up, so I’m excited to see one that is such a good starting place.

Thank you!

love the sketch turned sideways and how you have exactly what u’re son’s thinking – my son totally loves helicopters but my daughter at that age (or any age ) would have been totally the same and i love that u scrapped the story honestly and didn’t just do a title of like ‘helicopters’ and leave it (like i would have done)

Thanks so much Justine :) I’m a huge fan of sharing the little stories and especially the funny things the kids say. Dan (who was in my helicotter layout) just said to me the other day that he had goose legs…which meant he had goose bumps on his legs. Those layouts just crack me up and I know it won’t be long and I will forget those funny little things that they say.
